Simeon, our guide, started riding motorcycles when he was 7 years old.
The funny story behind his first bike is that when he went to the dirtbike shop he was in love with a small Beta. Every time he climbed over it, but one day something happened and he dropped it on the floor. In the next couple of weeks, it became his first motorcycle. His father has always laughed that because of the fall on the floor, the bike dropped in price and that’s when they bought it.
After that, he got a KTM sx85 and it was a little bit tall for him. Every month during winter he measured himself on the wall, he wanted to grow up really fast so he could ride it with no problems.
Those bikes he used only for motocross exercises and soft off-roads with his father.
The Husqvarna TE125 is his first “big” bike, and that is where the enduro journey began. Those are his first attempts to ride with his father’s friends. Since they are the pioneers of enduro in Bulgaria and one of them is the official distributor of KTM, Husqvarna and Kawasaki for the country, they knew some tricks to show him.
Simeon started with one to two competitions per year and the pump up for adrenaline and adventure started to rise.
It is his KTM EXC300 TPI bike that dropped him in deep waters. Competitions started getting more and more, as well as his experience.
A lot of mistakes have been made, but a lot of lessons were learned. He started racing for a couple of years in the Expert class, which is the second hardest of the Bulgarian Hard Enduro Championship. He saw that slow and Z-like trails were his favorite so he went a level up and joined the Pro class, where he had several podiums.
And the seek of adrenaline and happy moments continues…
